This control panel provides a visual indication of a failure in the Ground Proximity Warning (GPW) system or the Wind Shear Warning system. The unit also provides a means for inhibiting Mode 4 warnings.
The GRND PROX FAIL indicator / switch illuminates when activated by an external warning signal from the GPW system. The WIND SHEAR INOP indicator / switch illuminates when activated by an external warning signal from the Wind Shear Warning system. The FLAP OVERRIDE toggle switch is covered by a red protective guard (in the NORM position) to prevent inadvertent inhibition of Mode 4 warnings.
